College Football dropped a pop quiz on some teams this past weekend and while most teams showed up prepared, other teams saw their championship hopes dashed. There were a couple of tests that we had circled on our boards here at the All Sports Talk offices and while it wasn’t pretty, just about everyone pulled through.

NBA Jam Reborn – Full Rosters Revealed
NBA Jam is scheduled to be released as an add-on to NBA Elite for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Wii owners will get the chance to buy the game on its own. I myself am hoping that PS3 and XBLA come to their senses and allow us to download it without having to buy NBA Elite. NBA Elite will be dropping on October 5th.
Streaking Tulo Puts Rockies Back in Playoff Hunt
Don’t look now, but the Rockies are within 2 games of the NL West lead and within 4 games of the NL Wildcard. And who do we have to thank this year? Troy Tulowitzki of course, whose onslaught of home runs in the past 2+ weeks has the Rockies yet again within striking distance of a playoff spot. The Rockies are certainly the team to watch, heading down the final stretch.

This week’s game could just as easily be billed as Revis vs. Moss as the two have exchanged enough trash talking to cover both teams – and then some. There are less than 20 games remaining in the 2010 MLB season, which means that the number of teams mathematically eliminated from postseason contention is piling up faster than double cheeseburger wrappers during a Kirstie Alley binge. Ok, so that might have been a cheap shot, but regardless, more than half the teams, as of tonight, no longer even have a sliver of a chance of tasting October.
