List of Major League Baseball MVP’s

Although there has been some iteration of an annual award for the best player in each league since 1914, the modern system for deciding the Most Valuable Player in baseball didn’t come about until after the 1931 season.  Baseball writers from across America cast their votes for the league’s most valuable player in a ranking system from 1-10. First place votes receive the most points, second place receives fewer points and so on.  The votes are tallied and the player with the most points from each league is awarded their league’s MVP Trophy.

Below is a list of baseball’s MVP award winners.
