List of Manager of the Year Winners

The Major League Baseball Manager of the Year Award is an annual award, decided upon by the Baseball Writers of America. The award has been in place since 1983, by the 28 members of the Baseball Writers Association of America casting a first, second and third place vote.  The manager with the highest scores in both the American and National Leagues is given the award. The only exception to the voting has been in the strike-shortened 1994 season where the managers who had the best record prior to the strike were given the award.
