Bama president recommends Battle as new AD
The University of Alabama moved swiftly in replacing former director of athletics Mal Moore, who stepped down on Wednesday afternoon amid health concerns. University president Judy Bonner released a statement Thursday morning saying she will recommend Alabama alumnus and former Tennessee football coach Bill Battle as the school’s next athletics director.
Four Tide freshmen suspended after arrests
A former five-star recruit for Alabama was arrested for the second time in two days and was among four freshmen, all suspended Tuesday, who face charges of second-degree robbery or credit-card fraud stemming from Monday arrests.
