Notes & Observations from Tuesday’s MLB LCS Games

Toronto Blue Jays

It’s going really  poorly for you when you become the first team to have a position player pitch in Postseason history. Jays on the brink of getting blown out in this series if they can’t come up with some pitching quickly… and I’m not sure that Marco Estrada is the answer they’re looking for.

Kansas City Royals

On the cusp of reaching the World Series in back to back seasons. The offense came to play in game 4 and will need to continue to put up runs. They have to feel good with Edinson Volquez pitching game 5 with a chance to clinch the ALCS.

New York Mets

Another game, another home run for Daniel Murphy. He was able to tie Carlos Beltran’s postseason record, homering in 5 straight playoff games. A commanding 3-0 lead in the series, thanks to Jacob deGromm who is by far the standout pitcher of the 2015 MLB Playoffs.

Chicago Cubs

Any feelings that this might be a team of destiny have to be gone after getting absolutely dominated in a must-win game 3. A major letdown from the heart of the order, as the 3-4-5 hitters for the Cubs went a combined 2-12 in the game.
