When cornerback Aqib Talib returns from his suspension next week, he will do so as a member of the New England Patriots. Talib was traded by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers along with a seventh-round draft pick to the Patriots in exchange for a fourth round draft pick (reportedly). Talib is just finishing up a four game suspension for violating the league’s performance enhancing drug policy. Talib claimed that he took an Adderal pill without a prescription prior to training camp.

The move is intended to boost the defensive backfield for New England, who currently rank near the bottom of the league in passing yards allowed. Talib was the 20th overall pick in the 2008 draft and was one of Tampa Bay’s top defenders with 18 career interceptions.
