In one of the bigger shocks of the day, Major League Baseball has suspended San Diego Padres GM A.J. Preller for 30 days without pay. Ken Rosenthal reported that it might be related to the trade Preller made with the Boston Red Sox involving pitcher Drew Pomeranz.
