The Chicago Cubs have officially added Kyle Schwarber to their post-season roster for the 2016 World Series.
Schwarber, who injured his knee in a collision with Dexter Fowler just two games into the season, has been rehabbing in the Arizona Fall League since October 17th. Schwarber’s rookie regular season was nothing special, but he electrified the city by hitting five home runs in just four games with the Cubs last post-season.
He is expected to be the Designated Hitter for game one of the World Series, but it is still TBD what his role will be when the series moves to Wrigley.
