Apparently there are some ghosts that will haunt you no matter how far removed you are from them. sometimes it takes more than just a great night, or even a great season to forgive the transgressions of one’s past. Vick’s 6 total touchdowns (4 Passing, 2 Rushing), 300+passing yards, and 50+ rushing yards last night was an NFL first. Nobody in the decades prior to last night had ever turned in a performance like that. Vick is a perfect example of someone who had all the talent in the world, squandered it, was given a shot at redemption and capitalized on it.
Before we get into our Week 3 NFL recap, I’m going to discuss a slight formatting change. In previous recaps,
College Football dropped a pop quiz on some teams this past weekend and while most teams showed up prepared, other teams saw their championship hopes dashed. There were a couple of tests that we had circled on our boards here at the All Sports Talk offices and while it wasn’t pretty, just about everyone pulled through.

For the third week in a row, Alabama sits on top of both the AP and USA Today top 25 polls. Mark Ingram has the Tide in prime position heading into week 4, but Pryor and Moore are looking for Bama to falter.
Roll Tide Roll is still the chant around the All Sports Talk offices, as Alabama retains their position atop both the AP and USA Today Polls. We could be yelling OH-IO pretty soon though, depending on how this weekend’s games go.
